Privacy & choices

Calia saves your island position, visited places, notebook discoveries, equipment unlocks, zoom and sound preferences in this browser. Arrival hints and the running island clock also use browser storage. These saves are not uploaded. Reset visit in the island menu clears gameplay progress; clearing site data also removes saved preferences.

Terminal commands stay in this tab and are not sent to analytics. No camera, microphone or device location is requested.

Optional analytics are off until you allow them. When configured for the public site, PostHog receives only portfolio and project visits, broad island interactions and discoveries, coarse performance ratings, and fixed failure categories through our server. Each event uses a fresh random identifier. We send no saved progress, coordinates, terminal input, names, email addresses, page URLs, error messages, stacks or visitor IP addresses to PostHog. Session recording, heatmaps, autocapture and person profiles are not used.

Your browser stores only your analytics choice, not an analytics visitor ID. Global Privacy Control overrides opt-in. You can change your choice here at any time; turning it off stops future reports, but cannot retract events already delivered. Protected previews and automated browser tests never send public analytics.

The approved US PostHog project currently reports no event-retention window. Delivered events may remain stored until removed under the provider’s policies; opting out stops future delivery.

Vercel hosts this portfolio and handles its delivery. It may retain request and access logs, including IP addresses, under the hosting account’s settings and provider policies. We add only fixed operational failure categories to application logs. Project links open external sites with their own privacy practices. Legacy portfolio components may request a public GitHub profile to show repository counts.

Optional analytics: disabled on this deployment.
